1-5 A5 SLAVE - Used in place of EPOCH card to
indicate that this satellite belongs to
a set of satellites.
24-30 I7 Satellite ID of Master Satellite for this
set. The Master Satellite must exist and
the SATPAR,EPOCH,ELEMS1,AND ELEMS2 cards
for the Master Satellite must have been
defined prior to any SATPAR,SLAVE,ELEMS1,
and ELEMS2 cards for a set. See discussion
of slave satellites below.
If SLAVE cards are used, there must be at least one satellite for which an EPOCH card appears. Each SLAVE card must refer to an EPOCH card. The purpose of the SLAVE card is to cause multiple satellites to be integrated simultaneously. When this is done all integration parameters which refer to a Master Satellite also refer to each of it's slave satellites.
For example; if the SATPAR card preceding the EPOCH card of the Master Satellite indicates that local gravity terms are insignificant, then they are insignificant for the Master Satellite and all of it's slave Satellites. The area and mass for each slave satellite may be different and are specified on the SATPAR card immediately preceding the SLAVE card for each slave satellite.
All slave satellites will have the same set of drag and solar radiation parameters as the Master Satellite. The DRAG and SOLRAD cards may be used to specify different values or standard deviations for those parameters as a function of satellite. The only such parameters estimated for the slave satellites will be the same set as estimated for the Master Satellite.
Integration stepsize and order and the time of the initial epoch will be the same for the slave satellites as for the Master Satellite. AUG 1988
